Life as a Wife

A man is being prosecuted for killing a cat in a drunken jealous rage.  If convicted, he could spend up to two years in prison.  This story is absolutely unbelievable to me.  If someone killed my beloved pet I would probably sue that person, but should he really go to jail?  Why is it that animals in our country have more rights than humans?  Animal rights activists are going to be all over this calling for this man’s prosecution and two year imprisonment because of this incident.  I feel badly for the cat, I really do.  It suffered unnecessary pain and harm, but I do not think this man deserves to have two years of his life taken away because he killed a CAT.  Maybe he should take some anger management classes and be forced to pay his ex-girlfriend in damages caused by this incident, but Prison?!  Really?  Come on!
